I was wondering if it would be ok to push a small install as a patch that will be detected by security scan. The program is Symantect Enterprise Vault and is about 3 megs. What I have tried is to create a custom definition and turned autofix on. This insures that with any new PC build when the tech runs security scan manually to grab all of the security patches and software patches it will also install this program.
My detection works just fine when running security scan it downloads the file and all of that works well but it fails to install it. I can't find any log or anything to give me a clue on why it failed.
Just seemed like an easy way to push and keep it installed on desktops.
This is my first custom so not sure what to do with these options. It seemed straight forward but it fails to excute the install command is what appears to be the problem, the file downloads just fine but will not kick off.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, I have read but it just makes no sense why it would not install like any other patch.
