Chronic Vulscan Problems in LD9 - Anyone else???

Hi all,

We are in the midst of getting our LANDesk 9 SP2 server ready to roll out but for the past week or so, we have been having chronic ongoing vulscan problems.  These include:

1. server 2008 clients scan in but nothing detected on them even though they do need updates.

2. vulscans started from core to client fail with "Nodes reported Device ID not in database"

3. vulscans started from client fail with the following (from vulscan log file)

     Last status: Failed: Core could not process data
     Failed: Core could not process data
     ERROR: The core (servername) received the vulnerability info but was unable to process it!  Device ID: {96D40F37-A217-6943-91FE-A5893876F784}
     Unregistering script engine.
     Failed

4. repair tasks failing to execute.

I have a ticket opened with LD and we are actively debugging but I'm looking to find out if others have similar problems.  It appears that after we do a reboot of the core server, the issues (see 2/3 above) go away.  For example, I had 17 servers that failed this morning to get a vulscan back to the core but then I rebooted and all of them worked.  Now, forcing a scan on them again is failing this afternoon.

So far, I have done the following as per LD suggestions:

1. re-install .NET (regiis_aspx???)

2. ran coredbutil and purged or cleaned up the patch specific tables in the backend.

These seemed to temporarily fix problems but they keep coming back.

Looking for suggestions/input.

Thanks everyone.
