Can't use server name in the UNC path for patch repository, had to use IP address instead

Hi,

I am experiencing a very uncommon issue with my LDMS 9.5 SP1 core server when using the Patch repository configuration in a NAS outside of the core server. When I use a UNC path with a server name (\\servername.domain.dom\patche$) to define the patches repository  then I get an error whit the validation button that sais there is another connection already active and can not valitate the account.

But if I use the IP address instead of the server name then everything works allright : (\\10.0.60.10\patche$).

Strangely enought if I execute \\servername.domain.dom\patche$ using the run command from the system, the folder opens correctly in the explorer windows, so it seems there is no issues with the DNS.

On the other hand I have exactly the same issue with the preferred server configuration. If I name the preferred server using the server name the validation test fails, but if I use instead the IP address of the server then it passes the connection tests with flying colors. Then again I can connect perfectly to the network repository using a UNC path with the run command from the run option in the start menu of the core server using the Network Storage repository name. I'm a bit at loss with this as this seems not to be a DNS related issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
