Hi,
Does anyone know the recommended usage of "repair as policy" when creating a patch repair task?
Per my understanding, we can set a patch repair task to "repair as policy", instead of scheduled task, to deploy patches.
1. How would you use 'repair as scheduled tasks' and 'repair as policy'? in what circumstances?
2. I have heard that using 'repair as policy' will help in reaching out to the missed machines during the push deployment, and making sure that the affected patches get into the machines when the policy runs. I tried to create a 'repair as policy' task, my client status is now "waiting" with result "policy has been made available". When will these patches eventually runs? At what interval?
3. If I have autofix set to on in my default repair policy and patches, is this necessary to create 'repair as policy' tasks to patch the missed machines?
If someone has similar experiences, please share with me.
Thanks.
